This is the core of nursing. Covers a wide range of conditions affecting adults, from chronic illnesses to surgical recovery. Focuses on patient assessment, treatment planning, nursing interventions, and prioritization of care.
Pharmacology
Pharm
The study of medications, how they work, and their effects on the body (both therapeutic and adverse). Covers drug classifications, mechanisms of action, dosages, routes of administration, and interactions.
Obstetrical Nursing
OB
Focuses on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and neonatal care. Covers both normal and high-risk pregnancies and the complications that can arise before, during, and after birth.
Psychiatric Nursing
Mental Health
The study of mental illnesses and psychiatric disorders affecting emotional and behavioral health. Focuses on therapeutic communication, medication management, and crisis intervention.
